Baked Macaroni


Step 1 Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2  Boil the pasta, then strain.

Step 3 Coat the bottom of a casserole dish with a thin layer of butter so the macaroni does not stick.

Step 4 In layers place the macaroni, the salt and pepper, then a layer of cheese. Repeat layers until done.

Step 5 In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and half and half.

Step 6 Pour mixture over the entire macaroni dish.

Step 7 Cut about 1/4 stick of butter in little chunks and dot the top of the dish.

Step 8 Bake in oven for 35 minutes.


  • 1 lb. long macaroni
  • 1lb. sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 qt. Half and Half
  • 4 eggs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
